The Early Music
Festival at Whitewater is a weekend workshop held the first full weekend in
June. Activities include: classes for all levels of recorder from beginning to
advanced, reeds and wind band instruments, viola da gamba, and voice; vendor
exhibits; informal late-night playing sessions; festival-ending concert; and
much more.

Quintet by Glen Shannon
This remarkable quintet was commissioned by Charles Fischer as
a quintet reduction of the recorder orchestra version for 12 instruments. Each
player except the bass recorder player is assigned two instruments and must
switch at least once between them as the piece progresses (Si/S, S/A, A/T,
T/B, and B)
